This afternoon I saw a large monarch flying low over fresh milkweed plants. It continued to sail around, but I was not able to follow and get a photo at that time.

In late afternoon I went out and checked some of the milkweed in the pastures. I found 11 monarch caterpillars (1st-4th instars) and 14 monarch eggs.
