I found 8 monarch caterpillars and 12 monarch eggs on milkweed plants in our pasture. I also saw 2 monarch butterflies sailing around and nectaring on goldenrod today. This is a photo of a lovely 5th instar monarch caterpillar, resting on his cut leaf.
