This is a follow-up photo to my Monarch Adult Sighted report. This is one of the female monarchs I saw today. She is laying an egg on a Zizotes milkweed plant (Asclepias oenotheroides). I just discovered these in our pasture this year ~ there are just a few at this time. This lovely monarch laid several eggs in different places on this healthy milkweed.
