On my 2 mile walk under very dark and cloudy skies, I observed 5 monarchs at two locations with aster and clover flowers still in bloom between 2 PM and 4 PM. I was able to net and tag 3 males (ACWM-420, ACWM-421, and ACWM-423) and 1 female (ACWM-422). The Wind was SW-8 mph with the Temperature at 70F. My friend (Larry) saw no monarchs today in and around town or at his house from 1 PM to 4:30 PM when it began to rain.
