Found this guy as the last caterpillar of the season in our garden about three weeks ago on swamp milkweed. Took him to make sure he made it to adult butterfly. He finally hatched last night and couldn’t have flown off fast enough this morning as we decided to keep him im overnight rather than releasing in the dark. Temps were still close to 80 today. And will be tomorrow too. Safe travels my friend.
