Counted within 1 hour timeframe. All adults migrating; heading in a SW direction along the beach/lakeshore. All within a width (span) of approx. 200 feet. They all followed this a quite similar path. Majority at an elevation of apprx. 50 to 100 feet high. Some lower, some higher. Less than 5 landed and were feeding on dandelions for nectar. Not all monarch were counted. There were possibly thousands more, but at a slightly different path.
