I'll be darned. At 16:00 hrs I saw a butterfly buddy I usually only see annually in June/July-- if it's not a red admiral it sure looks like one. Very tame; lands on the family during the summer-- I call it Nan - for my mother in law. We have a little family of them every summer. But--
In October 15th!- a first. Looks a wee bit bedraggled but sunning itself and allowing me to talk up close. And also after a week's absence, a solitary monarch today one block over.
