The steady stream of travelers continued today. It's hard to know exactly how many, but I would say probably 2, maybe 3. The one from yesterday afternoon/evening seemed to leave midmorning. Another showed up this afternoon around 3. And either that one stayed around or a third showed up early evening, about 6, and was feeding through until dusk. I'm praying for all the hummers to make it south before the first frost.
We'll be away for a week, but I have someone coming to take care of our feeders. It's going to be getting cool here, so I'm switching my sugar water solution ratio to 1:3 as ornithologist Laura Erickson recommends.
