A female Monarch surprised me on a burgundy Butterfly Bush. :) Sunny and around 78 degrees. She seemed to have darker colors on the inside of her wings. I let many Monarchs go here since early September, but not since Wednesday when I let 3 males go, because now the flowers aren't as full and fragrant, probably because it is at the top of a hill. The bees are still enjoying it! :) This Monarch was eating, then flew away.
When I went back about an hour later, I called her as I do, and she came flying low from across the yard, ate some more and then flew away in the direction which I've seen the others fly off to...south towards the sun. :).
*I let 4 females go in C.V. the day before... Was she one of them? :)
