Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/13/2021

Number: 100

We are experiencing a huge wave of Monarchs here in N Georgia - unlike anything we've ever seen. For at least the last 10 days of sunny warm weather Monarchs have poured into our own flower gardens, we see them overhead everywhere we drive, and then there's Gibbs Gardens' new wildflower hillside! Monarchs are everywhere you look over Gibbs' orange & pink hillside swaths of cosmos. On visits 10/10/21 & 10/13/21 we saw more Monarchs by far than we've ever seen in GA. There are likely 100's there every day. Just yesterday when I walked out in our yard I counted 15 Monarchs in b'fly bushes, cosmos, lantana, torch sunflowers, anemones. There have been some every evening till dusk. Let's hope this means a good Winter for them!
