Just a note that I have not seen swarms of Monarchs at the Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove, as were observed when they were at their peak. When the numbers were legendary, we had to slow down on Hwy 1, to avoid hitting them. I drove past it twice today and saw none over the roadway at the grove. I saw one fly over Hwy 1, going east to west, just south of the grove.
