Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 10/15/2021

Number: 17

On another warm day with temps in the low 70's I spotted 17 monarchs from 5:15 - 6:15 pm. Food sources in the area are starting to dry up with about 60% of the golden rod still available to feed. There was a moderate SW west that was blowing the sand on the beach all over. Monarchs that were flying to trying to roost had to deal with the strong winds blowing them all over.
