Monarchs have been using this area to roost since 10/5/21. Numbers at the site have been up and down as waves of migrating butterflies pass through - some leave and then others arrive. Today's count of 708 was the highest of the season yet. Senna, cowpen daisy and whitebrush are all still blooming. Overnight weather was cool mid-50s with winds out of the east 10-15mph. Relative humidity 58% at sunrise. Monarchs were roosting on huisache, ash and hackberry trees.
