Observed all monarchs in directional flight south along the western side of the sand dune. Over a 15 minute period I observed 12 monarchs so a similar 50/hour rate as on 10/17/2021. Again a partly sunny date with a southerly wind so the Monarchs were flying closer to the ground and were relatively easy to observe. A few Monarchs like the one in the attached photo stopped to nectar on coastal Goldenrod.
