Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/20/2021

Number: 3

Two mature Monarchs were flying overhead at about the level of the eaves of the homes, and disappeared heading SW. While the one in the garden, on the wall, in the photo, appeared to be a new one just getting its wings to work. It, too, has now flown away. I have two more hanging in the shrubbery, freshly eclosed, and I will report them when they fly. I had two weak ones, that I think I previously reported, in the flowerbed overnight that seemed to have imperfect wings, but with the morning sun one of those is gone, but the other may not make it.
