Date: 10/19/2021

Number: 75

At Tip at Point Pelee National Park 4:15-5:30pm
Sunset 6:42
Daytime high 19c
Overnight low 11c.
18°c Sunny with 26/32kmh SW wind. Fabulous weather for the monarchs.
Located clusters already established in sheltered areas on east side of Hackberry tree in interior at Tip. Also clusters on lower cascading Grapevine, still on east side but just 12-15' off the ground.
Observed about a dozen flying in from east side out over the lake, & fly west right into trees.

All appeared pristine.

5:30pm Monarchs continued to arrive from the east & north.

They should have a 3 hr window 10/20 when wind greatly decreases to about 7kmh SSW & still sunny they should be able to make their escape before rain arrives 10/21 & temps are cooler afterward.

Observations by eye, binoculars, camera & clicker.
