Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/21/2021

Number: 25

The peak migration left Abilene on 10/11/21, but yesterday and today I've seen another smaller Monarch group of about 25, surrounded by 50 or more Queens at the pollinator garden east of the Hunter Welcome Center at ACU. Current weather is 78 degrees F, SSE winds at 3mph, still plenty of nectar plants and milkweed blooming. Plants include asters, Gregg's blue mistflower, Turk's cap, tropical milkweed, yarrow, flame acanthus, roses, salvia greggii, white salvia. This location gets full sun until late afternoon.
