On a gorgeous sunny autumn day with temps in the high 70’s I spotted over 525 monarchs from 1 pm - 5 pm. The wind was strong and out of west changing to NW later in the day and back to the west at the end of the day The monarchs kept flying about 15-20 feet off the ground. There are still plenty of nectar-ring plants in area including lantana, butterfly bush and primarily goldenrod. Monarchs were ravenous and feeding on the plants for hours.
