On a cold sunny day with temps in the high 50’s I spotted 392 brave monarchs that were escorted in by a strong NW wind @ 15 mph plus. I observed from 3 pm- 6 pm.They were already settling into their roosts around 3 pm and attempted to find a portion of the tree that was sheltered from the strong winds but in the sun. Most of the monarchs were shimmering trying to stay warm. The temperature at night dipped down to 45 degrees.
