This morning around 8:00 am we counted around 100 monarchs perched in various trees (pine, ash and sabino) of the stream in Parque Los Pinos, Col. Paseo Residencial, Monterrey, N.L. Coordinates 25.619002, -100.296032 / 25 37'08.4 "N 100 17'45.7" W. Temperature 15C, cloudy sky, no wind. The nearby nectar sources are mainly bougainvilleas, some small urban gardens, and wild flowers on the surrounding hills.
