Asclepias sullivantii, prairie milkweed. All the older plants are starting to scense. Some of the summer/fall sprouts are just starting to senesce. Some of the seed pods have shriveled up without maturing. Other seed pods are continuing to mature. This will be the last milkweed report as there are no more monarch butterflies here.
