Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 10/27/2021

Number: 1

Released our last monarch, Grassy, today. She fell when eclosing last week and has a bent wing. After a week and a half of care and flight practice, she finally took off south today, flying high! She’s not tagged as we weren’t expecting her to be able to fly and we also didn’t want to encumber her wings any further. Hopeful that she’ll make it in the big world!
