Date: 10/28/2021

Number: 1

We had another Monarch first today in Budd Lake, NJ.., 10/28/21. I saw an orange leave fall into the grass and then another, but this one fluttered it's wings. She's pretty beat up from the recent storms. My son ran out and got her and I put her on some bee balm still blooming to warm up. ( All 3 of my kids are programmed to recognize milkweed and Monarchs from 50' away.) It's only 60 in the sun. Still, it's above average for this date in northern NJ. Wish I had more blossoms for her. Another rain storm with winds forecast for tomorrow. Hope she makes it.
