Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/28/2021

Number: 24

Today is another good day in Austin for seeing migrating Monarchs. Using binoculars, I saw 4 Monarchs pass high overhead above our house during a 10-minute period just before noon, and I've seen about 10 stop in our front garden this morning, at least 10 feeding on flowers at a community garden this morning, and as I walked around the neighborhood, saw several flying south at tree level. Winds are from the north and are sometimes blustery. This tattered male spent a while feeding in our front yard.
