At around 4 pm I saw an adult monarch nectaring on the few butterfly bush blooms left as well as the tithonia blooms, which are all still very much in bloom. Also in bloom is the elderberry bush which, is blooming for a second time but more sporadically. As soon as it nectared, it took off due South. I think it must have known about the cold wet weather coming in since today has been wet and only 55 degrees.
