Up until now, we've noticed perhaps 1-2 Monarchs in the yard every day. On 10/31, there was a definite uptick in activity: at any given time throughout the day, 6-8 Monarchs in the yard. They appeared larger than our usual non-migrating Monarchs that frequent our area throughout spring/summer/fall. These 6-8 were mostly nectaring, occasionally interacting with each other. But no mating or ovipositing was witnessed.
