From 0900-1130 I counted 50 Monarchs, traveling in either pairs or by itself. All were traveling in a southwesterly direction. Most were at least 20 feet high.
[Additional information contributed by observer, added by Journey North, 11/02/21]:
I live in the southern portion of Blanco County on just over 31 acres. The property is heavily covered in Ash Juniper with some open areas. Yesterday from about 9am-1130am I stayed outside and individually counted monarchs flying over the property. They flew either in pairs or by themselves. All were travelling in a southwesterly direction. I counted 50 over the two and a half hour period. The weather was perfect earlier with little to no wind and sun. As it got later in the morning, the wind picked up and I saw less Monarchs. I stopped counting at about 1130am. All Monarchs were at least 20 feet in the air and higher.
