Frost on the ground and roofs. The leaves of the rhododendron have curled. The buds are set for next year's blossoms. We have more leaves on the trees than usual. There is a saying...when the leaves are heavy on the trees it will be a harsh winter. Time will tell. Song birds finally arriving. I saw about a dozen fly into the yard. About 15 minutes later another dozen.
