Despite morning temps in the low 30's, our afternoon temps in the 70's seems to allow for butterflies to keep flying. All landed on tropical milkweed or butterfly bush, and all flew south after about 20 minutes. Observed between 10:30 am and 4:00 pm, mostly in singles with only one pair.
