Sometimes I use a “counter” app but yesterday (11/7/21), since we were driving around in the morning I was just counting them out loud as my husband drove. He was pointing out some too and I would count them. After the first hour we had already spotted more than 100 and I stopped counting. My estimate after that was a conservative 250 over a 2hr period. I’m sure we missed many more. Most were gliding just above the tree tops 20-30 feet up. Some were a little lower They were in a S/SW directional flight. At first they were in small clusters of 3-5, then mostly solo later in the morning. I contacted my mom at 9:55am to see if she had any at her home in Atascosa and she did! I went over to her house for a few minutes and counted those too. My mom estimates she counted 80-100 from 10-11:30am yesterday as she sat in her garden in Atascosa, TX.
