I observed this Monarch Butterfly shortly after it emerged from its chrysalis late this afternoon. It has been a week or more since I last saw one. The weather turned cold last week and many of the ones still in chrysalis probably will not eclose. This one was fortunate to take advantage of the warmer temperatures that we have been having this week.
