Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 11/15/2021

Number: 1

Here on Monday for the 4th day in a row, a traveling male Ruby Throat is feeding from blue porter weed and red firespike, but mostly he covets the cuphea bushes and hasn’t touched the fresh nectar in the feeders. He didn’t leave here to catch a lift from Saturday’s 15 mph winds. Here it is, November 25th, one and a half months past the typical October 10th last-sightings of Ruby Throats here. Watching to see if more will pass through this Fall.
