This Fall, I have seen adult Monarchs flying around my backyard in Tempe, AZ since October 11th and nectaring on various flowers. I have found several Monarch larvae on the Tropical Milkweed and 2 on the one Arizona Milkweed. I have not seen any larvae on the 5 native Desert or Rush Milkweed plants. I moved several larvae to a rearing cage outside on my patio. Currently there are 17 caterpillars and 8 pupa in the cage.
