Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 11/22/2021

Number: 10

We have adult monarchs, daily. Recently there have been caterpillars. About 2 months ago, we also had pupae. Once they got bigger, they disappeared. I found one crystallis under our eaves, but it turned black and the butterfly never emerged. This time we made a caterpillar cage, and are watching them closely. We have tropical milkweed and just found some native milkweed. They are in a butterfly garden with lantana, kitty whiskers, fire bush, vincas and guardia. We get many different butterflies also.
