Found 1 3rd instar monarch caterpillar on Nov 17 and another on the 18th. On Nov 20th, I found 2 more. One was 4th instar and the other 2nd. I have 5 tropical milkweed plants that I cut back to 7” in October, as suggested, but they’ve all got a fresh healthy set of leaves by now. I have seen a couple monarchs over the last few weeks. Since it’s supposed to get pretty cold tonight, I’ve covered the 3 plants they’re on just for tonight. I’ll keep an eye on them!
