Surprisingly we saw many larvae at sunny Google yesterday, 30+ counted, mostly late stage on the few pants we are able to see up close. There were likely dozens more. This is one of very few showy milkweed plants that remain. The rest we saw were on tropical milkweed plants. They were very active, crawling on the plants and ground, eating, and preparing for the next phase. This time last year the milkweeds here had already been cut to the ground.
