At first I thought this was a Monarch but now I don't think so. I was gardening and spotted it with one leg stuck to it's chrysalis, which was under a leaf of a hanging geranium in the sunny area of my garden. It has not moved. I brought it in and put a tiny bit of sugar water near mouth parts. It is sitting under my slightly warm desk lamp. I don't hold much hope. The Monarchs do come to visit the Asclepias I keep in the garden.
