Have planted milkweed for 3 years. First sighting of 2 Monarchs around September 14 with caterpillars noted on one patch around September 25. Next sighting 2 adults October 14 on a different patch outside kitchen window. Spotted eggs then over 30 caterpillars. First chrysalis on November 23. Have 12 or more chrysalis on the porch ceiling and eaves of the house outside the kitchen window. Never saw the chrysalis from the first laying but it is away from the house near some woods.
