I currently have four chrysalis in my backyard that should be emerging any day. I spotted the caterpillars four days before Thanksgiving and they went into chrysalis stage around Thanksgiving day. They were on a milkweed plant I was not aware of in my yard. I also found eggs on another milkweed plant in another part of the yard and placed the plant inside my protected butterfly mesh house. I spotted two caterpillars yesterday and still some eggs on plant.
