My daughter, 11, saw the Monarch. She knows nothing about being asked to report them but when I asked her what she was following around outside, “a butterfly mom. It was a monarch.” I said, how do you know?”
-“ it was orange and black with a white stripe”

I’ve seen a few of them in my front garden this year.
Not sure if that is helpful information.
