I just witnessed 2 monarchs in a mating ritual in the parking lot behind Pleasant Hill Elementary in Leander, TX. I was watching in hopes they wouldn’t get out close enough to the pick up lane to be ran over. Thankfully it only lasted about 3 minutes before they flew off. I didn’t know what was happening at first when I saw the pursuit, but after I saw them go down together and flitting around I figured it out.
