I had a milkweed garden in Apollo beach and recently relocated to riverview. I don’t know if these butterflies are from the late season eggs on the milkweed i transported, but i see 1-2 adult monarchs a day in my garden. Just saw one in the milkweed and saw one earlier today. I haven’t seen a caterpillar in a few days, maybe two weeks. I usually treat for spider mites and cut back the milkweed during winter, but since moving i haven’t and i have seen unseasonal monarch adults around the milkweed and firebush. Also, i treat with ladybug and lacewing larvae in the off season, so that might explain the reduced eggs and caterpillars.
