On and off for the last several days I have seen a single adult Monarch butterfly that comes to feed on my, still blooming, blue mistflower. This has been a strange year for Monarchs here. I normally see them on the migration North. Then none or very few during the summer. Then during the fall migration, most years I see many. This was a good year, I tagged 50 but if I had bought more tags I could have tagged 100 plus. Also during the summer I saw Monarchs almost daily, which is very unusual for me.
