Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 12/26/2021

Number: 30

Milkweed is recovering from being devoured over summer and it now teeming with larvae. Some appear sick with parasites, but most look good and the numbers are almost astonishing. There are also lots of healthy adult butterflies frolicking around the yard in the warm temps and many eggs on the milkweed leaves.
