I did see very dark colored hummingbird fly out from maple tree overhead in westerly path around 4:30 p.m. One feeder in that area does have a drop level.
Whenever we have 80's we don't see them much. They just migrate out quickly, or stay up in trees more. It doesn't look like a Rufous is overwintering this year here. First time no overwintering hummingbirds since 2010.
Salvia flowers are blooming

Hooe reporters in Louisiana are seeing hummingbirds to report. Please do report if so or not seeing hummingbirds.
