I was walking my dogs around 1:30 PM in an icy rain. When I turned the corner from Hillside Avenue onto Martine Avenue I could not believe how loud the sound of birds was. Then I saw them in the trees on both sides of the street and on the pavement of the street as well.

I have seen them in a wave like this each fall but one street further up Hillside Ave. (on Evergreen Ave.) from where I saw them today. I don’t believe that there are any fruit trees in either of those places. I did not see them eating anything
