I found this butterfly laying on its back on the road, struggling to get back on its feet. It's missing two legs and seems rather weak, it doesn't seem to fly much.
It is a female apparently.
I picked it up and took it home since it was cold outside and it's common to see them attacked by ants when they're on the ground.
I fed it a mix of sugar water and was surprised that it actually reacted and started consuming it. First it seemed very weak and quiet, but then I moved it to the sun and started moving more and cleaning itself.
As of today, it eats very little (apple and banana slices) and stays at the top of a curtain where there's light. I think it's too weak yet as to be released. I hope it gets better and that I'm doing the best for it to recover!
