This isn't a first adult: it's a resident-in-Florida-over-the-winter Adult Ruby-throated!

I have seen a ruby-throated hummingbird on and off several times over December and January. But I haven't had my feeder out as I have a lot of Turks cap mallow in flower, and non-native trumpet vine. And so, I am feeding the hummers "naturally" and they aren't obliged to come right by my patio doors as they are when I have my feeder out
