Each member of this threesome was smaller than our usual pair, not significantly, but noticeably. 1st there was a pair gliding very slowly, in a wide circle overhead, 2 complete and relaxed circles, side by side and with the male steering the female and staying close. As the second circle ended, a third mature eagle joined, the 3 continued up the barrier maritime forest, arching in semicircles slowly. The 3rd attempted to move in on the female. The group which had been a pair together and a third 3 times the distance away but following; became a shifting group as the additional male broke the pair apart several times.
The pair, successful male and female dropped in the sky 3 times as the pair came together. Ultimately the pair was out of sight in the distant tree cover.
