following a snow and ice storm last week, there have been hundreds of robins in our area. this has been continuing for several days. the north fork of the shenandoah river provides a natural entrance/exit for migrating birds into and out of the shenandoah valley, which run south to north and vice versa. after a winter of seeing relatively few birds, it's wonderful to see hundreds of robins again.
